Expectant Prayers ®

Found This Interesting

I was doing a little research and decided to pass along what I had discovered.  Earlier this week, I was interested in the county by county vote for the elections and was not able to find a very complete graphic - one that was accurate or detailed.  Today I came across some maps from the University of Michigan.  It said on their website that these images are free to share.  I like the fact that they use not only the red and blue, but also the overlay of purple to depict the accurate percentages in votes.  You can see by the purple where the real battlegrounds are!

Then, and perhaps even more intriguing, they included a cartogram.  Cartogram was a new term to me!  Basically, it is a map that is rescaled by population.  States are reconfigured using the population numbers- so even if a state has more territory, the population will determine the new size of the state.  From the above map, it appears that there is more red than blue.  But, wait just a minute! When they put this data in, the new map looks like this:

That reminded me of this:

While some may look at this as the RED getting squeezed out of our country, I see it as... the heart this great "eagle"  is still pumping red blood;  coursing life through the veins of this nation!

"There is power, power, wonder working power in the blood of the Lamb,
There is power, power, wonder working power in the precious blood of the Lamb."

I also notice the shield on the eagle.  Where is the shield? Over the heart!  Coming from Missouri and formerly Ohio, both states have claimed to be the heart of the nation.  Not disputing either one, I would just like to say that God's hand is still over the heart of this nation.  It is HIS shield that covers us.  We need to remain steadfast in our prayers that the heart of this nation will remain yielded to the Lord and His perfect will.   We also need to keep praying for the big cities!

Remember - if the blood flow continues to be restricted - the very life of this nation will be cut off!

There are many references to the eagle in the Bible (the references in the prophetic books and Revelation are especially timely), but I will leave you with this verse of encouragement today:

"But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."
Isaiah 40:31

Blessings, friends!
