Expectant Prayers ®

Saturday's Snippets

I hope you caught the Glenn Beck show last night with special guest John Hagee.  I thought it was the best show I've seen in awhile and I could have watched those two talk for hours!   True to Hagee fashion, the conversation touched on prophesy, America, the Middle East, the return of Christ, political issues, etc.   It was fabulous.  I thought Pastor Hagee was very articulate and responded to questions accurately, always giving sound Biblical references for his views.  What a show!  I hope there were a lot of folks watching- and not just Christians or conservatives.  It's amazing to me that a Christian based world view can be given such a wonderful platform to be expressed!
What a reminder to us all to watch and be ready... for we know not the hour of His return.    Our present day is testimony to fulfilled prophesy.  We live in exciting times, folks.   All you have to do is pick up your newspaper or watch the evening news to understand the day and time we live in.     Even "secular" people are affirming (perhaps unaware) that the stage is set for Christ's return.   We should be striving to reach the goal and not be weary in the race.  I think too many people are consumed with everything but God in this day and time.  We must press on and take our relationship with God seriously, examining our walk daily.  He's coming soon.

Are you ready?

Finally today, here is Shad and Moses.  Shad turned 6 weeks old this week.  It's hard to believe!  He has become more alert and is smiling at us now.  He's starting to be awake a lot more in the daytime than he was before.  That makes the day challenging, but it also forces me to take it easy as I stop and feel him or hold him.  I'm memorizing every hair on his head and trying to absorb everything about him.  The tiny baby look is all but gone from him and his personality is starting to emerge like a little tender plant out of the ground.   I'm beginning to seriously wonder if his feet will ever touch the ground because he is always in some one's arms.  Out of all the boys, I think Moses holds him the most- and wants to.  The little boys would love to hold him more, but he weighs over 10 pounds now and it isn't very easy for them to keep him supported.  Moses is great with him and is so loving and nurturing.  You can really tell that he will make a fine father one day (if the Lord tarries)!

It's been a lazy Saturday.  It's raining here and we're busy working around the house.  We're going through clothes this week and next and this week was grading week, so I am working toward getting all of our paper work sent off to the college today.  The older kids had Junior Bible Quiz this morning.  Moses and Celeste did very well.  Now it's time to make sure they are getting their rooms cleaned so we can get started on the clothes.

I hope you have a great weekend and we'll see you Monday!
