I don't watch a whole lot of TV, and when we do, we usually record something to watch later. I have found this one of the best ways to view a show because what would normally takes an hour takes a little over half an hour to view... minus the commercials. Plus, if there is something that doesn't really interest you, you can breeze past it in a click of a button! The kids enjoy the fact that even when we're watching a show (one not recorded), you can rewind and then go back to "live", where the program will resume. They use that feature if they think something was extra funny... over and over and over again.
I was thinking about life in the past few weeks in respect to rewind, pause, and fast forward. Rewind to Saturday... we had a great day with JBQ. Titus and Celeste's team placed 3rd overall in the A Achievers division and Titus placed in the top 10 quizzers in their division for the whole season! The team that Moses is on placed 1st in the B Masters Division. He placed in the top 10 quizzers in his division, too and his teammate, Daniel, placed 1st! I am very proud of them. The rest of the weekend was filled with activities... to many to mention.
Rewind to yesterday and we finally got all the grades mailed out, which ends our school year for now. We'll start back up soon, but for now I am enjoying the break! Even though we have a lot of other things going on in our house, everything seems to be on "pause" once school has dismissed.
Fast forward to this weekend and we'll be making a trip to Springfield for District JBQ quizzing. It's our first trip during break and we are all looking forward to it. My husband has a week off from work and we're all looking forward to spending time together.
Sometimes we need to get out of our rut in life and remember that God has blessed us with wonderful lives! It pays to rewind good memories, pause and reflect on blessings, or fast forward our thoughts to focus on a vision God has planted within us.
Blessings to you today, friend.
