On My Way Home

I am finally on my way home to Kansas City.  Shad and I arrived in Indiana earlier this afternoon with my Dad and sister.  After 2 weeks of waiting around for Dad to have surgery on his legs, we were given the okay to bring him to Indiana for the surgeries.  He will require 3 surgeries in all; both legs and the abdomen.    It's been quite an ordeal.  He will be here for an estimated three months for the surgeries.    Perhaps I can make it back out here to Indiana for a visit or two while dad is recovering.

Leaving our hometown was a mixed bag of emotions as you might imagine.  We've been through a lot, but God has been so gracious to all of us and there were so many good things that came out of our sorrow as well.  The time spent at home was quite a blessing; time to reflect on where we came from, bond and visit with family, and renew our love for one another.  When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Lord will raise up a standard against him!

So, look for me in the coming days to be back up and running.  I have a lot of things to take care of when I get home - and did I mention that we are moving???  Yes, there is plenty to do.  I may not be on every day, but I will get to my blog as often as I can.

Blessings today, friends!    Love, Jenni
