9 Months and Counting!
This week marks nine months of my book being on the market! To me, that means that the very first users of the ENTIRE book (throughout their entire pregnancy) are just now having or getting ready to have their babies. That's a milestone. I get so excited when I think about it!
I look back and can't believe that nine months have gone by, but today I sit here thankful that the vision the Lord gave me nearly thirteen years ago is now being shared by mothers across our nation and into the UK. Thank you, God! As many of you know, our motto has been "God promotion" and we have done very little to spread/ market the book up until now. Perhaps in time that will change (like after I have my baby in a few weeks???), but for now, we are still amazed at how God is taking the book into various places. I am confident that it is getting into the hands of those who are supposed to have it and will impact an unborn generation for Christ! God is using mothers and women across the nation to spread this vision by word of mouth (which in my opinion is the best advertising you could ask for). Again, I cannot thank you all enough for literally picking up the torch and joining in the race with me. Our children will be eternally thankful.
For those of you who have left me comments on the book and shared your prayer requests, I want to give you my utmost appreciation. I am constantly encouraged by the testimonials and miraculous answers to prayer that God is giving to you, my "new" friends! Isn't God good?
I have been amazed that we are averaging nearly 15 new hits a week to my website and that this blog where I make my journal entries is averaging over 2,000 visitors a month. Wow. What can I say? Only that it's obvious to me that God is raising up a remnant of God fearing parents who, along with their children, are going to make a mark in this world. Keep it up! And again, bless you all !!!!
Our New Feathered Friends
For those of you who keep up with my blog, we lost our little Parakeet, Gene Buckles yesterday. He was part of the life that thrives in our home and we were very sad to lose him. He lived about 7 years, so you can imagine how attached we became.
The children had a meeting and decided that they wanted to get another bird, so yesterday afternoon we set out to a couple pet stores to look into getting some. We ended up finding some social birds (Zebra Finches) which are going to suit our family. They can keep each other company. Our neighbor friend, Laura, has some finches, so we were not totally in the dark about their care, etc. They are very active and fun to watch! The children decided to name them "Fritz and Fritzi".
So, making their journal debut are our new feathered friends.....
Finally today, I would like to express our condolences to Officer S--- who lost his K9 partner on Thursday. We love the K9 patrol and know how valuable their presence is to the department! We also know how animals can become part of the family! Taz was retired, but lived with Officer S--- until his death. Memorial services were held yesterday. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
