Money? Housing? Health Care? Let's Turn Our Eyes Toward Jesus!

"He will have no fear of bad news; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the LORD."  Psalm 112:7

Money, Housing, and Health Care.  These are the big headlines.  You can hardly go a day without hearing blurbs on the television about these three topics.   These are definitely signs of the times and we need to be quieting and settling ourselves in the firm foundation of the Word rather than allowing these unfolding events to grip us with fear.

Luke 21:26 says, "Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken."

Luke 21:11 refers to our unfolding headlines as "fearful events", "There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven. "

These man made institutions and comforts are just that... man made.  They will disappoint you every time if your security is found in them.  God however, will never disappoint!  As Christians we are NOT to fear.  As Psalm 112:7 says, our hearts are steadfast if we trust in the LORD!

We must not allow our circumstances to define our faith, but rather... we must allow our faith to define our circumstances!

What should our headlines as Christians be in this hour?

Don't worry - He will never leave or forsake us!

Nothing can separate us from His love!

He's coming back!

He's Jehovah-Rapha, the Lord our Healer

He's Jehovah-Jireh, our Provider

We must turn our eyes upon Jesus and begin trusting in, relying upon, and totally depending on Him.
He is the author and finisher of our faith.  He is in control.

The Word gives us a warning also found in Luke 21, verses 34-36, "Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with dissipation, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you unexpectedly like a trap. For it will come upon all those who live on the face of the whole earth. Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man."

These things must come and then the end.  We cannot stop the will of God.   The enemy will try as hard as he can to distract you and get your eyes off of God.  Luke 21:28 says, "And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh."

He has made us aware of what will happen in the last days so that we would be ready.  So our last headline:

Guard Yourself, Watch, and Be Ready!
