"Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content."
Philippians 4:11 KJV

After driving across four states yesterday, we got in around 3am.  We are very tired and I am just now getting around this morning and starting to unpack the clothes!   Everyone else is still asleep and probably will be for several more hours.

I didn't really want to travel the entire distance yesterday, but after a few hours in Indiana to see my sister, drop off a huge zucchini and other items,  eat some pizza, pick up the dog, and allow the kids some time to play and stretch...we were off again!   The second leg of the trip was mostly in the dark, so after watching the  "Pippi Longstocking" movie, most of them fell asleep and stayed asleep until we had to stop.

Half way through Missouri, we headed into rain, which slowed us down a bit, but we still made good time.  The first portion of our trip from Ohio to Indiana was very scenic.  We took 30 all the way across Ohio and up near Lima where friends of ours grew up.   I think we'll take that way again next time.  There were two detours that took us about fifty miles out of the way, so under normal circumstances (with no detours) it would have cut an hour off of our trip and been more aesthetic.

Today is rainy here.  After I do some work on the computer, I will have to make a grocery store run and clean up the house.  The house smelled "weird" after being closed up for nearly two weeks!  ICK.
First, I'm going to down a couple cups of coffee and try to wake up!!!

Thanks again to everyone who welcomed us into their homes during our trip and expressed such wonderful hospitality.   Blessings!

And continuing the thought of transitioning from one "state" to another....

Congratulations today to friends Brett and Rebecca as they welcomed little "Lexie" into the world around 1:45am this morning!
