Expectant Prayers ®

Give Me Jesus

Hello, is God there?

As a sequel to yesterday's entry, today I caught Zeke with an old cell phone trying to call God!   I asked him what he would talk to God about if he actually got through.  He replied, "I dunno!"   Nonetheless, he kept trying to dial through.    Doesn't it remind you of the old song, "Operator"?  "Prayer is the number, faith is the exchange, heaven is the street and Jesus is His name.  Operator? Information, please...give me Jesus on the line!"

Of course, we had a little talk (again) about how prayer is our "line" to talk with God anytime.

"Rejoice evermore.

Pray without ceasing.

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God

in Christ Jesus concerning you."

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (KJV)

Shad
Today Shad is now 7 1/2 months old.  I noticed that I hadn't put up any pictures of him for awhile, so I am today.  He is getting really big and mobile.  He can sit on his own, eat some types of finger foods (like the Gerber snacks), babbling but also saying "mama" and "dada".   He likes to grab things, tear up paper, pound on his high chair, and scratch at different textures. His personality is really starting to shine through, too.  He can be a real stinker at times.   Most people tell me he looks and acts just like Zeke.  I think they're right.

As you'll notice from the pictures, he has such beautiful blue eyes!  He's my baby blue-eyes!  Only 2 out of our 6 have blue eyes; Levi and Shad.  I hope Shad's eyes stay that way.  From the way they look so light, I think they will probably stay blue.  He still only has two teeth, but I'm sure more are on the way very soon.  He's slobbering and gnawing again.

Sitting up all by himself (above right).

He's actually upside down in this one.  Dad's game!

Those blue eyes again!

I just wish we could have more of him smiling.  My camera just isn't fast enough. He smiles a lot and is really quite a happy baby!  He has a hearty laugh and the siblings can really get him going.  It's funny to watch!

"I prayed for this child, and the LORD has granted me
what I asked of him."
