Expectant Prayers ®

Many of you ask about my book sales from time to time.  My reports and subsequent royalties are distributed quarterly, so I only get a glimpse of what is happening four times a year.  The third quarter report was very small (which was my first quarter of sales), as I only had a few weeks of sales reflecting.  It showed 15 books sold.  My report from the last quarter from 2006 finally came in.  The numbers weren't mind blowing or staggering, but nonetheless, the book is selling.  Of course, I would love to see it take off quickly and bless as many women as possible around the country.    On average, I am selling about 10 books per month.  That doesn't include books that I have sold on my own or that have been distributed by family members.  To you that may not seem very impressive, but God has shown me that there is blessing in what others would call meager beginnings.  A friend of mine, who is expecting, reminded me of what I said a long time ago... I am in this for the ministry to expectant women and children.  That is so true!  I love the one on one mentoring and I feel blessed to be touching lives outside the realm of my immediate surroundings.   This book allows me to walk the journey of pregnancy with women I may never meet this side of heaven.  I feel honored and blessed!!!  I can't even put it into words.

 From the overall sales so far, I have reached 10 times the number of women in 5 months than I did in 10 years of personal ministry.  In God's math, that isn't too shabby.    I also have to remember that each book sold reflects at least 2 lives that are being impacted (the mother and the child).  That's a tremendous payoff for a book.  I am very humbled by what God is doing.

The number of bookstores carrying the book is steadily increasing, too.  We are planning on starting some publicity efforts in a few months which will hopefully increase the availability and the awareness of its existence.   There are plenty of people out there who don't even know there is such a book available!  We can only do so much, but we are trusting God to take it where He wants it.   I am especially excited about churches (like my own) that have decided to give a copy of the book to the expectant mothers in their congregations.  There are a number of churches that have called it a "valuable resource to pregnant women".     Also, a good indication that news  IS spreading is that my website is tracking new visitors daily (on average 3) since it began in September.  That's exciting news and it goes beyond all I had hoped or dreamed was possible.
