Buzz Word - Emerging

"And they shall teach My people the difference between the holy and profane, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean. And in controversy they shall stand in judgment; and they shall judge it according to My judgments: and they shall keep My laws and my statutes in all Mine assemblies; and they shall hallow My sabbaths. "
Ezekiel 44:23-24

There have been a few "buzz words" resonating with my spirit, which I want to share with you.  I believe that the Lord has been saying to watch for them, expect them, and do not be swayed by them.  Why?  Because every Christian needs to know what's in store for the Church and things aren't always wrapped in obvious packaging.  Remember, there is a thread of truth that runs throughout most false ideas!  We need to watch and guard ourselves.

  EMERGING

To emerge means to become manifest or known; to rise from an obscure or inferior position or condition.

Even looking at the definition makes me step back and wonder why anyone would fall prey to its message!  Nonetheless, this idea of emergence is filling our world.

Part of the problem is that people get the wrong connotation from emerging.  Many people would like to think of emerging in the terms of transformation, which it is not.  Transformation is changing from one thing to another - like the butterfly.  It exists previously in one form/stage only to change into another with metamorphosis.   Transformation is a good thing.  It's a lot like our lives in Christ.  He designed us with transformation in mind and gave us the way to become changed (salvation).

Emerging has more to do with being REVEALED.  Read the definition again.

It's message can be heard from political speeches to the pulpit!   We will emerge!  We will rise and be made known.  A new (whatever) will be made known.  That's the problem... it isn't something "new" or "transformed".   It's something there that has been brewing and cultivating, only to become manifest.
That makes me slightly disturbed.

"Emerging" is definitely an end times buzz word because it sums up what will be revealed during the tribulation.  When I hear it used, I can sense the rumblings of things to come.

What will emerge (rise)?:

A ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT WITH GLOBAL LAWS AND AUTHORITY

A ONE WORLD MONETARY SYSTEM

A ONE WORLD CHURCH THAT EMBODIES ALL RELIGIONS

THE ANTICHRIST

We're in the Danger Zone

What I see that is most dangerous for the Church in this hour is the deception within the church as it "emerges".  The growing fascination that we must be ecumenical with ALL faiths is not consistent with the truth of the Bible.  There is only one way to God... through Jesus.   There is only one Word... the Bible.    We are being enticed to follow after peace and unity, despite what it causes us to give up.  Nothing we agree to should cause us to give up our morality or Biblical beliefs.  To this we must say "NO", but the sweeping tide is pulling a lot of people from the fringe and submerging them into the  current of deception.   Then they emerge - the fear is gone and they are oh, so happy to be in the water with everyone else - no matter that they're up the river without a paddle.    Their experience with emerging is promoted with excitement and direction from so called leaders of the Christian faith who bellow out "Get in the water is fine!"  But as all rivers lead  somewhere, there's a waterfall up ahead and we'll all eventual end up in the vast ocean of the one world church!

Recently, a speech given by our president following the stimulus bill passing including the following statement:  "We must sacrifice worthy priorities for things for which there are no dollars."

Um, which worthy priorities are You willing to give up, friends?  Morality?  Biblical standards?  Ask yourself.  As Casting Crowns sings, "Be careful when you think you stand... you just might be fallin'!

The truth of solid Biblical doctrine has been replaced by doctrines that formulated in the pits of hell.  We are part of the problem.  We no longer want to hear the truth, but what we WANT to hear.  We don't like the messages about sin, but we want to learn how we can prosper, be successful, and have our best life now.  Friends, our best life is not one here on earth, but it is the one to come in eternity.  We desire to be entertained and comfortable.  We want to be able to live as we want with a mindset like the world and  act like the world... but the Bible says we are a peculiar people.  We should be different because we have been regenerated by the Lord.  Instead of being regenerated by the Lord, however, we simply regurgitate the world!

We don't need an emerging Church, we need a transformed Church who is unashamed of the Lord Jesus Christ... who will pick up their cross, no matter the cost, and follow HIM.

Learn the tricks of "EMERGING" thinking:

 - appealing to our desire for something new (change)

- Using consensus as a weapon.  If every one's jumping in the river - that's your first red flag

- desensitizing you with ideas and goals that look good on the surface, but are contrary to God's will/Word (especially via media)

- conflicting your Christian/moral beliefs with what is socially acceptable or what the consensus deems as "right"

- trying to convert your emotions will, mind, and spirit

Consider what I have told you and liken it to what we see unfolding in the world today:

Please be careful, friends.  Ask the Lord honestly to show you if you've been guilty of succumbing to this emerging spirit.   Don't put your life in jeopardy trusting in a wolf in sheep's clothing!
