Beyond Blessed

"Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it."   Malachi 3:10

Last night, we were beyond blessed as we celebrated the arrival of Shadrach at our church.  The theme was "Heaven Sent", which I felt had dual meaning; not only is Shad heaven sent, but God's blessings are heaven sent.
Honestly, it was probably one of the best showers I've ever been to and probably THE best out of all the showers I've personally had.  When I sat down to write about it this morning, I couldn't help but think of the verse that talks about having so much blessing that there's not room enough to put everything.  We really feel that way.

When Peter and I got home, we were talking about all the effort everyone went to and how thoughtful our church family was.  It was evident as we opened all the blessings that everyone brought that each one took the time to give something meaningful.   Not to single anyone out, but as a true loving example, one of my favorite gifts was one brought by friend Becky.  This woman has four children of her own, a busy hectic schedule, home schools her children and still finds the time to crochet afghans for all the new mommies & babies in the church.  It really means a lot to me!  The afghan is a gorgeous pale yellow and so soft!  It's something that we'll treasure.   There are so many friends that we have come to love so very much at our church.   All of them put a lot of love into the shower last night and we are very grateful.  HUGS!

Zeke and Levi were our little helpers as friend, Rebecca, handed us gifts.

Here's the entire family!

Thank you to all!
