I'm giving God praise and glory today for a successful weekend! Wow, what a time. I am still trying to soak in everything. 16 hours of driving was worth everything that the Lord accomplished during our trip. The events were anointed, the travels were beautiful , and the food was delicious (and sentimental). We were able to revisit some family history on the way down to Hot Springs via Lamar, Sheldon, and other towns in Southern Missouri. There were many surprises and divine appointments during our time at AGFSA.
The work that these two agencies (Hillcrest & Highlands) are involved in are true ministries to families! We were blessed to have been there to tour the extensive campus and to meet and talk with the children, mothers, volunteers, and staff members. We met with old friends and made some new ones, too! Some of the neatest people on the planet can be found at AGFSA. What a good time in the Lord.
Back home, it was the first time for me to be away from the children. I missed them and I know that they missed me, too. Dad was in charge and everyone survived! Hopefully, the next time we travel, we'll be able to take the whole bunch!
