I looked at the calendar this morning and realized that August has just flown by! Normally, when I get to my last month of pregnancy, I feel like it will never end! This pregnancy has not felt this way. Coming out of a super busy weekend, I took yesterday to pretty much relax and get a few small things done around the house. I also had some pretty strong contractions yesterday and Pete was convinced we were headed to the hospital last night. Nope. I'm still here. Then there's the old wives tale about the full moon sending you into labor. That's never worked for ME! By the way, were you up at 5:30 or whatever time it was in your time zone to see the lunar eclipse? I heard that it was much longer than normal and that the moon changed from grayish to red!
Oh, and Pete FINALLY finished the belly mold yesterday and hung it in our bedroom. It's cool!
When I was considering what to write about today, I thought for nostalgia purposes that it might be fun to look at what I looked like during all my pregnancies. Most of the pictures I'm going to share are already on my website, but I'll include some current ones at the end. Also, as a side note, most of these were taken on the day or just days before I went in for delivery. Celeste is the exception because she arrived a month early and I didn't really have a chance to take pictures. I was so sick and photos were the last thing from my mind. There aren't any pictures with me pregnant with the two I lost either because I wasn't showing much yet... but I did manage to gain 5 pounds with each of those pregnancies. NOT FAIR!
So, here is a trip down memory lane.....
Titus' Induction Day in 1995, Celeste's Pregnancy 1996
2 Days before delivering Moses- 1998, The morning of induction of Levi-2001
The morning of Zeke's C-Section- 2003
AND THIS IS ME SUNDAY AND YESTERDAY, JUST DAYS BEFORE SHAD'S BIRTH...
It looks like Winston is smiling, too!
And the final tummy measurement is...
Forty-two inches! Luckily, not too many new stretch marks to report, either!
My weight is up to 164.5!!! Whoa! Hopefully that will not take too long to lose! I've had quite a bit of swelling within this past week!
Finally, I would like to thank all of you who have prayed for me during this journey and walked with me along the way! It's been a real treat and a pregnancy I will remember always.
Congratulations to Gloria, whose son and daughter-in-law delivered baby Liam on August 25!
Also, upcoming congratulations to Debbie and Dion who will more than likely deliver sometime this week. I didn't want to miss giving out congrats while I am in the hospital, too!
BLESSINGS FRIENDS! HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY!
